Splenic changes associated with experimental liver cirrhosis

Abstract
|

|
|
Experimentally induced liver cirrhosis in the rats with the splenic autograft in the dubcutaneous pockets has been followed by a marked pulp hyperplasia,providing the evidence in favour of the view that the pulp hyperplasia, an important feature of the splenomegaly,is independent of portal obstruction and may be the outcome of the effect of the hepatotoxic agent or some dther agent produced by the damaged hepatic cells.
